Guest of Honour: Prof. (Dr.) Sri Krishna Highlights the Significance of Continuing Dental Education
Prof. (Dr.) Sri Krishna, Principal of Hazaribag College of Dental Sciences and President-Elect of the Indian Academy of Oral Medicine and Radiology, was the Guest of Honour at the valedictory function of the 3-day workshop on photobiomodulation and photodynamic therapy in dentistry. The event, organized by the Dental Institute at Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences, Ranchi, in collaboration with the Indian Council of Medical Research and the Department of Health Research, New Delhi, took place in the Seminar Hall on the 4th floor of the New Trauma Centre of RIMS, Ranchi, from January 19th to 21st, 2024.
Addressing the gathered audience, Prof. (Dr.) Sri Krishna emphasized the pivotal role of continuing dental education and value-added courses in the evolving field of dentistry. He extended his appreciation to the Organising Committee for their efforts in inviting highly experienced and sought-after doctors to deliver lectures during the workshop. Notably, the event saw participation from several undergraduate and postgraduate students, as well as faculty members from dental colleges across Jharkhand.
Prof. (Dr.) Sri Krishna took a moment to congratulate the Organising Team led by Prof. (Dr.) Rajiv Kumar Gupta, Director & CEO of RIMS, and Prof. (Dr.) Jayaprakash M.B., Principal of Dental Institute, RIMS. The Co-Patron, Dr. Arpita Rai, Associate Professor, and Convenor, Prof. (Dr.) Vivek Gupta, Head of the Department of Periodontology, along with Co-Convenor Dr. Prashant Gupta, Additional Professor and Incharge of the Department of Oral Medicine and Radiology, were acknowledged for their exceptional efforts in orchestrating an enriching scientific extravaganza.
The workshop proved to be a significant gathering, fostering knowledge exchange and skill enhancement, with the active participation of students and faculty members from dental colleges in Jharkhand.
