ANTI-RAGGING ORIENTATION PROGRAMME: An Anti-Ragging Orientation Programme was conducted for the BDS & MDS students on 19th March 2024 at Lecture Hall 2 of Hazaribag College of Dental Sciences & Hospital from 10:00 onwards.
The Welcome Address was delivered by Dr. Nishad Gawali, Reader, Department of Public Health Dentistry, Hazaribag College of Dental Sciences & Hospital.
The Principal, Dr. K. Sri Krishna, welcomed Dr. Raju Biswas and thanked him for his august presence and requested him to share his knowledge and enlighten the students about the vagaries associated with ragging.
The Programme was inaugurated by Dr. Raju Biswas, Hon’ble Member, Dental Council of India, and President, West Bengal Dental Council, followed by an awareness lecture on anti-ragging.
Legal aspects of Ragging were extensively discussed with students by Dr. Raju Biswas, Member, Dental Council of India cum President, West Bengal Dental Council. A memento with certificate was presented to the Speaker by Prof. (Dr.) K. Sri Krishna, Principal, Hazaribag College of Dental Sciences & Hospital.
Vote of Thanks was delivered by Dr. Manoj Kr. Singh, HOD, Dept. of Periodontology at Hazaribag College of Dental Sciences & Hospital. Students were given a comprehensive insight into the various aspects and consequences of ragging within the campus. This marked a significant step towards fostering a culture of respect and inclusivity within our college community. The event was graced by the attendance of all the Heads of Departments (HoDs) and faculty members for this important event.
