Hazaribag College of Dental Sciences & Hospital organised a programme aimed at eradicating ragging. Various events running from Seminars to Competitions on Anti-Ragging Day 2023 Theme: “We’re against Ragging” conducted from August 12th to August 19th, 2023.

Hazaribag College of Dental Sciences & Hospital is committed to fostering a safe and welcoming environment for all its students. In line with this commitment, we organized a week-long programme dedicated to combating the menace of ragging within our institution, as per the regulations.

12th August - Seminar on Anti-Ragging & Movie Screening

Kickstarting the programme, a seminar on anti-ragging was conducted, featuring insightful presentations by our esteemed Principal, Dr. K. Sri Krishna, Professor & Head of the Department of Oral Diagnosis Medicine & Radiology. The seminar also included a thought-provoking movie session.

14th August - Essay Writing Competition on Anti-Ragging

Students showcased their writing prowess in an essay writing competition centered around the theme of Anti-Ragging.

- 1st Prize: Insha Umair, B.D.S (2nd year)

16th August - E-Poster Presentation

The creativity of our students was on display as they competed in an e-poster presentation, highlighting innovative ways to address ragging.

- 3rd Prize: Qudisa Amber, B.D.S (2nd year)

17th August - Slogan Writing Competition

A competition to craft impactful slogans against ragging encouraged students to voice their stance against this social issue.

- 1st Prize: Jahnvi Kumari, B.D.S (2nd year)

- 2nd Prize: Sadaf Zaya, B.D.S (2nd year)

- 3rd Prize: Gope Shruti, B.D.S (2nd year)

18th August - Logo Designing Competition

Creativity flourished in a logo designing competition aimed at symbolizing the institution's commitment to a ragging-free environment.

- 1st Prize: Saif Khan, B.D.S (2nd year)

- 2nd Prize: Anshika Shrivastav, B.D.S (2nd year)

19th August - Certificate Distribution

The successful culmination of the programme saw certificates being distributed to participants by our respected Vice Principal, Dr. Ankur Bhargava, and Dr. Nishad Gawali, Reader, Department of Public Health Dentistry, Hazaribag College of Dental Sciences & Hospital
