International Yoga Day Celebration at Hazaribag College of Dental Sciences and Hospital

On 21st June, 2026 the world celebrates International Yoga Day, and in continuation of this tradition, Hazaribag College of Dental Sciences and Hospital organized a two day yoga session on for its students, faculty, and staff members.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation, offering everyone a refreshing and rejuvenating experience. The session was designed to raise awareness about the physical, mental, and spiritual benefits of incorporating yoga into daily life.

Under the guidance of Dr. Raghu Ranjan, participants practiced a series of yoga asanas including Surya Namaskar, Vrikshasana, Butterfly Pose, Salamba Sirsasana, and Paschimottanasana. These postures collectively enhance strength, flexibility, balance, and body coordination. They improve posture, increase spinal mobility, and strengthen muscles of the legs, core, shoulders, and back. Regular practice also stimulates blood circulation, supports healthy digestion, and improves respiratory efficiency.

Beyond physical fitness, the combination of balancing, stretching, twisting, and inversion postures helps reduce stress, sharpen concentration, and promote mental calmness. Consistent practice under proper guidance fosters holistic well-being by boosting confidence, increasing body awareness, and enhancing endurance. At the conclusion of the session, participants engaged in a complete sequence of yoga asanas, ensuring a well‑rounded practice that encompassed balancing, stretching, twisting, and inversion postures.

Around 97 students and other staff members actively participated in this year’s celebration, making it a meaningful and memorable occasion for the college community.
