Anti-Ragging Orientation Programme 2023-24
An Anti-Ragging Orientation Programme was conducted for the BDS & MDS students on 8th July 2024 at Lecture Hall - 2 of Hazaribag College of Dental Sciences & Hospital from 9:00 A.M. onwards. The Principal, Dr. K. Sri Krishna, welcomed Dr. S.K. Katharia, Hon’ble Member, Dental Council of India, and Chairperson, Anti-ragging Cell, Dental Council of India and thanked him for his august presence and requested him to share his knowledge and enlighten the students about the vagaries associated with ragging.
The Programme was inaugurated by Dr. S.K. Katharia, Hon’ble Member, Dental Council of India and Chairperson, Anti-ragging Cell Dental Council of India, followed by an awareness lecture on anti-ragging. Legal aspects of Ragging were extensively discussed with students by Dr. S.K. Katharia. Students were given a comprehensive insight into the various aspects and consequences of ragging within the campus. This marked a significant step towards fostering a culture of respect and inclusivity within our college community.
The event was attended by the Heads of Departments (HoDs), members of the Anti-ragging Committee and Squad including Hostel Wardens, alongwith the students and faculty members. A memento with certificate of appreciation was presented to the Speaker by Prof. (Dr.) K. Sri Krishna, Principal, and Dr Ankur Bhargava, Vice Principal, Hazaribag College of Dental Sciences & Hospital.
Vote of Thanks was delivered by Dr. Saumya Verma, Professor, Department of Oral Medicine and Radiology, Hazaribag College of Dental Sciences & Hospital.
