International Day of Radiology is a momentous occasion to recognize the discovery of X-Ray in 1895. This year's theme for International Day of Radiology 2023, "Celebrating Patient Safety", emphasizes the pivotal role Radiologists & Radiographers play in maintaining the effectiveness of healthcare systems and ensuring the well-being of patients. Beyond radiation protection, their dedication and expertise continue to shape the future of medical imaging.
On the occasion of International Day of Radiology 2023, the Department of Oral Medicine & Radiology celebrated the event by conducting lectures to all the students, organising a Quiz competition & making a beautiful Rangoli at the entrance of the HCDSH. The patients were also educated on Radiation Safety by the faculty of Department of Oral Medicine & Radiology. Dr. Praveen Shrinivas, Secretary, Hazaribag College of Dental Sciences & Hospital, along with Mrs. Roli Gupta, Director of the Pari Foundation, graced the lectures & quiz competition with their presence. Professor (Dr.) K. Sri Krishna, Principal & HoD of Oral Medicine & Radiology, HCDSH wished all the faculty on this occasion & congratulated the faculty of Oral Medicine & Radiology on the conduction of the events on this occasion.
